Tamil Nadu returns to Chepauk seeking home advantage in Ranji Trophy 2026-27

Tamil Nadu will return to play at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in the Ranji Trophy 2026-27 season. The last time the team hosted a match at the venue was against Karnataka in February 2024.
The return home comes as Tamil Nadu seeks to reverse a recent downturn in domestic cricket performance. Playing at Chepauk, a traditional stronghold, is expected to provide the team with a significant advantage.
The home ground has historically been a fortress for Tamil Nadu cricket, and officials hope that the return will help the team rebuild momentum in the prestigious Ranji Trophy competition.
