Tamil Nadu Woman Appeals for Rescue From Kuwait, Claims Torture and Unpaid Wages

A video from Kuwait has prompted Tamil Nadu authorities to intervene after a woman identified as Vanitha from Kallakurichi district appealed for rescue. In the video, she claimed she had not received wages for two months and was being tortured while working as a domestic helper abroad.
Vanitha urged the Kallakurichi District Collector and Superintendent of Police to facilitate her return to India. Tamil Nadu officials verified her identity and established contact with her family, who subsequently filed a complaint requesting her safe return.
Vanitha's mother alleged that the employment agent who arranged her daughter's job in Kuwait had misrepresented the position. The family sought intervention from authorities to bring her back home.
