India to co-produce Javelin missiles with Tata under new JV deal

The Indian Army has signed a letter of offer and acceptance (LOA) to purchase the Javelin anti-tank guided missile system from the United States. The procurement will be executed through a joint venture between Tata and Javelin manufacturer, marking a step toward indigenous defence production.
The JV deal aims to boost India's security capabilities by enabling co-production of the advanced missile system domestically. Officials stated the arrangement will strengthen the country's defence manufacturing ecosystem while meeting operational requirements.
