India knows how to play hardball with China, says Shashi Tharoor ahead of Modi-Xi meet

Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has stated that India is prepared to take a strong negotiating position in its dealings with China. His remarks come ahead of an anticipated meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Tharoor's comments underscore the Congress party's focus on India's strategic autonomy and assertiveness in bilateral relations with China, a key geopolitical concern for New Delhi.
