Three arrested for operating mule accounts in ₹1.5 lakh fraud case

Three people have been arrested for operating mule accounts used to receive ₹1.5 lakh obtained through fraud from a Gujarat resident. The mule accounts served as intermediaries to transfer stolen funds, a common tactic in organized online fraud networks.
The arrest is part of ongoing efforts by police to dismantle fraud operations that target residents across states. Mule accounts—bank accounts controlled by third parties—enable fraudsters to launder money quickly and obscure transaction trails.
Investigations into the case are continuing to identify additional suspects and recover more funds.
