Three Maoists surrender in Bankura with weapons

Three CPI (Maoist) cadres surrendered in Bankura district, West Bengal, yielding an AK-47 and INSAS rifles to police. According to West Bengal Police, approximately 80 criminal cases are pending against the surrendered cadres across West Bengal and Jharkhand.
The surrender comes as authorities continue counter-insurgency operations in the region. Maoist violence has been a persistent security challenge in eastern Indian states, particularly in forested areas of West Bengal, Jharkhand, and neighbouring regions.
