Tilak Varma: Always dreamed of Test cricket before white-ball formats

Tilak Varma has reiterated his passion for Test cricket, saying as a child he always envisioned playing the longer format before transitioning to white-ball cricket. The batsman's recent 99 reflects his excellent run of form since returning to red-ball cricket during the Duleep Trophy.
Varma scored 116 not out and 51 not out in the semifinal, declaring then that red-ball cricket is "in his blood." He has maintained this sentiment, underscoring his commitment to the Test format despite his prominence in limited-overs cricket.
