TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee accuses Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury of BJP alignment

TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee has accused Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury of being aligned with the BJP, citing his opposition to West Bengal's former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Banerjee stated that while Mamata has sought Congress support for the Nandigram bypoll and is in touch with Rahul Gandhi, Chowdhury has not responded positively.

Banerjee claimed that Chowdhury only opposes Mamata and is neither against the CPI(M) nor the BJP. He alleged that Chowdhury wanted the BJP to form a government in Bengal. TMC has stepped back from fielding a candidate in Nandigram to support Congress, but Banerjee blamed Chowdhury for creating friction within the INDIA alliance.
