TMC MP Saugata Roy threatens privilege motion against rebel colleague Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar

Trinamool Congress MP Saugata Roy has threatened to file a breach of privilege motion against fellow party MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar over her disclosure of a Parliamentary standing committee meeting to the media.

Dastidar, who has been at odds with the TMC leadership, had blamed the previous state government for child trafficking and forced marriages in West Bengal during media interactions related to the committee proceedings.

Roy contends that Dastidar violated parliamentary protocols by discussing confidential committee matters publicly, escalating tensions within the TMC's parliamentary wing.
