TMC urges LS Secretariat to bar rebel MPs from parliamentary panels

The Trinamool Congress has asked the Lok Sabha Secretariat not to nominate rebel MPs who defected to the Nationalist Citizens Party of India (NCPI) to any parliamentary panels.

Abhishek Banerjee, senior TMC leader, made the appeal, arguing that the MPs who have switched parties should not be appointed to committees. The move reflects the party's concern over the defection of its members.
