Trade Law Journal Calls for Submissions on Industrial Policy and Strategic Autonomy

Trade, Law and Development (TL&D), a leading journal founded in 2009, has announced a call for submissions for its next special issue themed "Reimagining Global Trade: Industrial Policy and Strategic Autonomy in a Changing Global Order" (Vol. XVIII, No. 1).
The journal noted that the post-war consensus favouring trade liberalisation and minimal state intervention has shifted toward renewed emphasis on industrial policy and strategic autonomy. Governments across major economies are increasingly deploying subsidies, domestic content requirements, export controls, and investment screening mechanisms to strengthen domestic industries and secure supply chains.
TL&D has been ranked the best law journal in India for seven consecutive years by Washington and Lee University, School of Law. The special issue seeks to examine how geopolitical tensions, supply-chain vulnerabilities, and technological competition are reshaping the global trading system.
