Tripura govt honours CWG gold medallist Asmita Dey with land and cheque

The Tripura government has felicitated Commonwealth Games gold medallist Asmita Dey, presenting her with land and a cheque as recognition of her achievement.

Dey, a judo athlete, began her training at a centre in Belonia in South Tripura district before advancing to the Sports School in Agartala, where she honed her skills to reach the Commonwealth Games.

The state honours reflect Tripura's support for sporting talent and aim to encourage young athletes pursuing excellence in competitive sports.
