Tripura militants call 72-hour shutdown over unfulfilled rehab promises

Militant groups NLFT and ATTF have called for a 72-hour shutdown in Tripura starting September 4, alleging that rehabilitation promises made under a 2024 peace accord remain unfulfilled.
The groups cited non-compliance with agreed rehabilitation measures as the reason for the shutdown, which is expected to affect normal life in the state. The move signals escalating tensions over the implementation of the peace agreement signed earlier this year.
