Tripura surrendered militants launch 72-hour shutdown over delayed rehabilitation promises

Surrendered militants from the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) and All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) have initiated a 72-hour shutdown in Tripura. The protest stems from alleged delays in implementing rehabilitation promises made under the 2024 peace accord.
The militants claim that commitments regarding their reintegration into society have not been fulfilled as agreed. The shutdown is expected to impact normal activities across the state during the three-day period.
This marks a significant challenge to the peace accord signed earlier this year, raising questions about the government's capacity to deliver on its commitments to the militant groups.
