TVK White Paper says Tamil Nadu's debt doubled under DMK rule

Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay released a White Paper auditing Tamil Nadu's finances, one of his first official actions. The document claims the state's debt doubled, deficits widened, and liabilities surged significantly over the five-year DMK administration.

According to the White Paper, every newborn in Tamil Nadu now carries a debt burden of Rs 1.28 lakh. The report highlights fiscal deterioration during the previous government's tenure.
