UCIL Chief Denies Connection Between Uranium Mining and Health Issues in Jharkhand

The chief of Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL) has dismissed suggestions that uranium mining operations in Jharkhand have caused health problems in surrounding communities.

UCIL operates seven uranium mines across the state—six underground mines at Bagjata, Jadugora, Bhatin, Narwapahar, Turamdih and Mohuldih, and one open-pit mine at Banduhurang.
