UP and Centre to meet on air pollution action plan for 8 NCR districts

Uttar Pradesh and the Centre are scheduled to hold a meeting to discuss an air pollution action plan covering eight key districts in the National Capital Region. The meeting will focus on implementing coordinated pollution control measures across the NCR area, which has been grappling with severe air quality issues, particularly during winter months.
The initiative aims to address transboundary pollution affecting Delhi and surrounding areas by involving state and central authorities in developing a comprehensive strategy. Officials from both governments are expected to review implementation mechanisms and identify priority interventions to improve air quality in the region.
