UPSC turns 100: PM Modi calls for shorter exam cycles, youth-centric reforms

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called on the Union Public Service Commission to introduce shorter examination cycles and implement youth-centric reforms as the institution celebrates its 100th anniversary.
Modi emphasised the need for the UPSC to evolve and make its processes more responsive to the aspirations of India's youth. He stressed the importance of modernising the civil services recruitment framework to better serve the nation's administrative needs.
The century-old commission, which conducts competitive examinations for entry into the Indian Administrative Service and other central services, has been a cornerstone of India's governance structure since its establishment.
