US Mercenary Van Dyke and Six Others Released After Six Months in NIA Custody

The National Investigation Agency released seven individuals, including US mercenary Van Dyke, after holding them for six months. The NIA had arrested them in connection with a case allegedly involving a drone-warfare training camp linked to ethnic armed groups operating in Myanmar.
The grounds and circumstances of their release were not immediately detailed. The case had drawn attention due to Van Dyke's alleged involvement in military operations and the transnational nature of the investigation.
