Omar Abdullah Defends Full Rendition of Vande Mataram, Cites Legal Mandate

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has defended the full rendition of Vande Mataram, stating that objections raised by the Congress are without merit. He noted that the legal framework governing national songs is already established and in force.
Abdullah remarked that if Congress had concerns, they could have addressed the matter through Parliament rather than raising objections at a ceremonial event. He suggested that any political discomfort should have been resolved at the legislative level, emphasizing that the constitutional protocol is already in place.
