VCK chief suggests SIR deletion exercise could have aided TVK's Tamil Nadu poll performance

VCK chief Thol Thirumavalavan has suggested that Tamil Nadu's SIR (Special Summary Revision) exercise, which resulted in the deletion of approximately 97.3 lakh voter names from electoral rolls, may have contributed to TVK's performance in recent polls. His statement aligns with the DMK's earlier assertions on the matter.
The SIR exercise, a periodic revision of voter lists, has drawn scrutiny from opposition parties who contend that widespread deletions disproportionately affected certain voter groups. Thirumavalavan's remarks represent a notable alignment with the DMK on this electoral issue.
TVK, the political outfit led by actor Vijay, has emerged as a significant player in Tamil Nadu politics following recent electoral contests. The comments underscore ongoing debate around electoral fairness and voter registration practices in the state.
