Water release into Kakatiya Canal from SRSP reaches 2,000 cusecs

Officials have released 2,000 cusecs of water into the Kakatiya Canal from the Srisailam Right Bank Canal project (SRSP). The release comes as water availability in the project remains robust.
Since June 1, 2026, total inflows into the project have reached 42.618 Thousand Million Cubic (TMC) feet, while total outflows stand at 13.408 TMC feet. The substantial gap between inflows and outflows indicates adequate water availability in the reservoir.
The Kakatiya Canal, a major irrigation channel in the region, benefits from the water distribution managed by SRSP officials.
