West Bengal bypolls: TMC MP calls for safeguards against voter exclusion

A Trinamool Congress MP has urged the Election Commission to ensure no eligible voter is denied voting rights ahead of West Bengal bypolls. The appeal comes as nearly 25 lakh cases have been filed before SIR (Scrutiny and Inclusion Review) tribunals challenging the deletion of names from voter rolls.
