West Bengal CM's helicopter unable to land in Kalimpong due to bad weather

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's helicopter was unable to land in Kalimpong on Wednesday due to adverse weather conditions. The aircraft hovered over the helipad in the Himalayan district's headquarters as the pilot assessed landing options before deciding to return to Siliguri.
The diversion was necessitated by poor visibility and weather patterns that made it unsafe to proceed with the landing at the scheduled destination.
