West Bengal to conduct TET for 90,000 in-service teachers following Supreme Court order

The West Bengal government has directed its authorities to prepare a Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for approximately 90,000 in-service teachers following an order from the Supreme Court.
The directive comes as the state moves to comply with the apex court's judgment, which pertains to the eligibility requirements for in-service educators. The TET is expected to assess the competency and qualifications of the large pool of existing teachers across the state.
This development signals the state's commitment to implementing the court's order and ensuring standardized teaching credentials across West Bengal's educational system.
