West Bengal shuts 933 schools with zero enrolment; government considers revival

West Bengal's School Education Minister Dipak Barman announced that 933 primary, upper primary and secondary schools across the state had recorded zero enrolment, leading to their closure.
The government is currently examining the possibility of reviving these schools. The closures reflect a significant challenge in ensuring educational access across the state, particularly in areas where student intake has dwindled to zero.
