West Bengal govt considers paying industry incentives in instalments

The West Bengal government is considering paying outstanding industrial incentives in tranches rather than a lump sum, according to sources. The total outstanding incentive to industry is believed to exceed ₹10,000 crore.
The phased payment approach would spread the financial burden across multiple quarters, easing pressure on the state exchequer while gradually meeting commitments to the industrial sector.
