Women's groups march to Delhi Police HQ, demand action on alleged assaults during protests

Women's rights groups staged a march to Delhi Police headquarters demanding action against alleged sexual assaults on protesters during ongoing demonstrations in the national capital. The march followed reports of misconduct against participants in the anti-CEC protests.
Delhi Police registered at least 10 FIRs in connection with the alleged assaults after sustained pressure from citizens, activists and media organisations. The registrations came in response to complaints filed by protesters and advocacy groups documenting incidents during the demonstrations.
The protests have drawn significant participation, with demonstrators raising concerns over various issues. Authorities have faced mounting calls to investigate and act decisively on the allegations of misconduct targeting protesters.
