Yogi accuses Akhilesh of ignoring backward, Dalit candidates for Rajya Sabha seat

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has criticized Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav for allegedly sidelining backward and Dalit candidates in favour of a businessman for a Rajya Sabha seat.

Yogi's comments came after the SP nominated Dhanraj Parimal Nathwani, a senior Reliance Industries executive, for the upcoming Rajya Sabha election this month. The CM accused the SP of prioritizing corporate interests over the representation of marginalized communities.

The remarks reflect the intensifying political battle between the ruling BJP and the opposition SP in Uttar Pradesh, with both parties competing for electoral advantage.
