YouTuber Raavan under police scrutiny over suspected Maoist funding links

Police in Andhra Pradesh's Krishna district have interrogated YouTuber Raavan in connection with a case registered at Gannavaram station. Investigators suspect he facilitated the flow of funds supporting Maoist ideology and made videos targeting important leaders in the coalition government.
According to police findings, over Rs 29 lakh was deposited into Raavan's accounts from abroad in multiple phases, with one individual conducting the majority of these transactions. Raavan also received over Rs 25 lakh from YSRC leader Indrasena Naidu's account in phases. Investigation revealed that Raavan ran his YouTube channel from Indrasena's flat. When questioned about the primary foreign transaction source, Raavan maintained silence.
Police investigations further revealed that Raavan's channel aired numerous videos hailing the Maoist revolution and Maoist leaders. He toured Maoist-dominated areas in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Odisha on several occasions and maintains contacts with Maoist sympathisers. Investigators also identified several fake accounts subscribed to his channel during their probe.
