Yusuf Pathan was trembling in fear of bulldozers: Mehdi reveals

Former cricketer and Trinamool Congress MP Yusuf Pathan is now facing criticism from within his own party after his defection. Srinagar MP Aga Sayed Ruhullah Mehdi revealed on social media an incident from Parliament's winter session, claiming Pathan had suddenly withdrawn from protesting against the government.

Mehdi alleged that a Muslim MP had warned Pathan against opposing the BJP, threatening that his house in Gujarat would be demolished by bulldozers. Mehdi said Pathan appeared fearful and visibly shaken when recounting the incident. Mehdi claimed that Trinamool leader Mahua Moitra had previously assured Pathan of the party's protection, but accused him of betraying the party through his defection.
