80 lakh HPV vaccine doses administered since February launch
India has administered 80 lakh doses of the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine since its introduction in February. The vaccine, aimed at preventing cervical cancer, represents an expanded public health initiative.
The rollout marks a significant step in the country's immunisation programme, targeting eligible populations across states. HPV vaccination is a key preventive measure against cervical cancer, one of the major health concerns among women in India.
