80 women trained for ornamental fishing off Uppada coast

Eighty women from the Uppada coastal area in Andhra Pradesh have been trained in ornamental fish farming as part of a livelihood development programme. The initiative aims to provide sustainable income opportunities to women in the fishing community.
Ornamental fish farming offers a viable alternative to traditional fishing methods, allowing participants to engage in aquaculture activities. The training programme equips women with skills and knowledge required for successful ornamental fish cultivation and market readiness.
