ABVP and BJYM leaders arrested for attacking students at Valsad college hostel

Police in Valsad arrested leaders from the ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad) and BJYM (Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha) following allegations that they attacked students at a college hostel. The incident stemmed from tensions over a Matki-phod celebration, a traditional ritual.

Authorities registered cases against the accused for their involvement in the assault at the hostel. The arrests come as part of efforts to maintain order on campus and prevent further confrontation between student groups.
