Air India pilot dies in Delhi hours before scheduled flight

An Air India pilot from Mumbai died in Delhi on Friday at a hotel in the Vasant Kunj area where he was staying during his layover. He was found unconscious and rushed to hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
The pilot was scheduled to operate Air India's Delhi-Seoul flight on Saturday morning. This would have been his second flight since joining Air India about two months ago; he previously worked with Air India Express.
Air India expressed deep condolences and stated it is in continuous contact with the pilot's family, providing all possible support. The preliminary suspected cause is a heart attack, though an official determination awaits investigation.
