US Kashmir policy unchanged despite official's remarks, says analyst

Foreign policy analyst Michael Kugelman has clarified that the United States' position on Kashmir remains consistent, despite recent remarks by Sergio Gor in Srinagar that may have disrupted Washington's diplomatic balance.

Gugelman noted that while Gor's statements could have rattled the US approach to the region, they do not represent an alteration in American policy on the Kashmir dispute. He also addressed India's strategic ties with West Asia, as well as the evolving China-Pakistan relationship in his broader assessment of regional dynamics.
