Floods damage crops on 13,000 acres in Andhra's Srikakulam district

Floods have damaged crops across 13,000 acres in Andhra Pradesh's Srikakulam district, according to the state Agriculture Department. The Joint Director of Agriculture reported that waterlogging has caused standing paddy to blacken, threatening the harvest.
Once floodwaters recede, authorities plan to deploy drones to spray nutrients on affected fields in a bid to restore crop health. The district has faced significant agricultural losses from the inundation.
