Andhra Pradesh cities awarded for sanitation and waste management efforts

Several civic bodies in Andhra Pradesh have been recognised at the Swachh Andhra Awards 2026 for their efforts in sanitation, waste management and environmental initiatives. The awards aim to acknowledge urban local bodies that have demonstrated excellence in keeping cities clean and managing waste effectively.

The recognition comes as part of a broader push to improve municipal services and environmental standards across Andhra Pradesh. Civic bodies were evaluated on their performance in sanitation, waste segregation, recycling programmes and other green initiatives.
