Andhra Pradesh has emerged as India's largest egg producer, generating 2,739 crore eggs during the financial year 2024-25. The state's dominance in poultry production reflects its strong agricultural infrastructure and farmer base.
The state government has outlined plans to further strengthen the poultry farming sector. The focus will include expanding existing markets for poultry products and promoting greater domestic consumption of eggs.
These measures are designed to support poultry farmers and boost the sector's overall growth, positioning Andhra Pradesh as a key player in India's livestock and agriculture economy.
