Six candidates file nominations for mayor posts in 13 Andhra Pradesh civic bodies on first day

Six candidates filed nominations for mayor positions in 13 municipal corporations across Andhra Pradesh on the first day of the nomination process. The filing reflects the initial response from political parties and independent candidates seeking leadership roles in the civic bodies.

For chairperson posts in 87 municipalities and nagar panchayats, 43 nominations have been filed so far. The TDP leads with 15 nominations, followed by YSRC with 13, Jana Sena with 5, the Indian National Congress with 2, and independent candidates with 5 nominations.
