Army Aviation Airlifts Donated Kidney at Night, Saves Soldier's Life in Haryana

The Army Aviation Squadron of Western Command executed a night-time aerial mission to transport a donated kidney from PGIMS Hospital in Rohtak to Command Hospital, Chandimandir in Panchkula. The organ was successfully transplanted into a serving Junior Commissioned Officer of the Indian Army.
The mission was completed with precision through seamless coordination between military and civil authorities. Civil administration established a secure green corridor to ensure swift and uninterrupted movement of the donated organ, officials said on Friday.
The operation highlighted the selflessness of the donor's family and the coordinated efforts to save the soldier's life. This marks another instance of emergency organ transport in the region, following a similar green corridor operation a week earlier to transport organs of an armyman's wife.
