Bangladesh halts Hilsa exports to India ahead of Durga Puja

Bangladesh has decided against sending Hilsa fish to India during the upcoming Durga Puja festival and has also suspended imports from the country. The move marks an escalation in trade tensions between the two neighbouring nations.
Hilsa, a prized freshwater fish, is traditionally exchanged between India and Bangladesh during major festivals. The decision to halt exports and imports signals a broader strain in bilateral trade relations during a sensitive period.
