West Bengal Assembly Passes Delimitation Bills for Kolkata, Howrah Municipal Wards

The West Bengal assembly has passed delimitation bills that will expand municipal ward boundaries in two major cities ahead of upcoming municipal elections. Kolkata's civic wards will increase from 144 to 209, while Howrah's will expand from 50 to 68 wards. The bills were cleared ahead of scheduled municipal corporation polls in the state.
