Bihar Bandh Over NEET Paper Leak Gains Momentum With Student Protests Across Districts

Members of left-wing student organisations held protests across several Bihar districts on Saturday in support of a statewide bandh against the NEET paper leak and police action on protesting students. Groups including All India Students' Association (AISA), Revolutionary Youth Association (RYA) and CPI(ML) blocked roads in Samastipur-Patna, burned tyres and raised slogans demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Police deployed heavy security across Patna, Siwan, Jehanabad, Sheikhpura, Rohtas and other districts as a precautionary measure. Flag marches were conducted in several areas including Patna's Paliganj locality. Authorities ordered private schools in Patna to remain closed during the bandh, though police reported minimal impact on normal life in the capital.
