Several BJP leaders in talks with Congress, says Karnataka CM DK Shivakumar

Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said on Sunday that several BJP leaders, including those from the Centre, were in talks with the Congress and indicated more could join in coming days. His remarks followed former BJP MLA N L Narendra Babu joining Congress at the KPCC office in Bengaluru.
Shivakumar stated that district ministers and party office-bearers had been authorised to prepare a list of leaders interested in joining Congress. He said the party would accommodate those who believed in Congress ideology and leadership.
The CM added that Congress had previously accommodated several leaders in different capacities and would continue to do so, claiming younger generations were looking towards the party after 13 years of BJP governance.
