BKU urges Noida farmers to intensify protest over land acquisition

Bharatiya Kisan Union national spokesperson Rakesh Tikait has called on Noida farmers to intensify their protest over land acquisition for development projects. Tikait alleged that the administration is preventing farmers from holding demonstrations and meeting officials to press their demands.
Farmers have been seeking developed residential plots and improved compensation packages for land acquired by authorities. The BKU has positioned itself as supporting the farmers' cause against what it describes as administrative barriers to peaceful protest and dialogue.
