India's blind women cricketers await promised house sites and jobs a year after World Cup victory

India's blind women cricketers, who won the World Cup a year ago, are still waiting for house sites and employment opportunities that were pledged to them. Captain Deepika T.C. from Madakasira in Andhra Pradesh's Sri Sathya Sai district is among those yet to receive the promised house site.
Despite their sporting achievement, the team members have not seen the promised benefits materialise, raising questions about the follow-up on commitments made to the athletes.
