Brics nations to set up research repository, support startups and new university rankings

Brics member countries have committed to establishing a common digital repository for research and launching a platform to support youth-led startups, according to the New Delhi Declaration adopted on Saturday.

The grouping will also explore a new university ranking and evaluation system as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation in science, education, innovation and skilling across member nations.

These initiatives aim to enhance collaborative research, foster entrepreneurship among young people, and create alternative frameworks for assessing academic institutions within the Brics bloc.
