KTR, Harish Rao booked for alleged assault on police outside Telangana Assembly

Telangana Police have registered an FIR against BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao and former minister T. Harish Rao, along with other BRS leaders, following a confrontation outside the Telangana Assembly.

The case arose during a BRS protest against the Congress government's 1,000-day rule. Police stopped the leaders from entering the Assembly premises. Authorities allege that some BRS leaders obstructed and assaulted officials during the incident.

BRS leaders have disputed the police's account of the confrontation, criticising the police action against the protesters.
