BRS calls for statewide protests after MLAs, MLCs barred from Assembly

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao and former minister T Harish Rao were detained by police outside the Telangana Assembly on Monday after being stopped from entering the premises. The BRS MLAs were wearing black T-shirts as a mark of protest against the Congress government.

Party workers and legislators were shifted to Telangana Bhavan after the detention. The incident follows the Congress government's action to prevent BRS members from entering the Assembly chamber.
